- The suspicion that Globegarden systematically falsified the occupation lists has not been confirmed.
- However, the Zurich city nursery supervisor sees room for improvement.
- The city took action after the online magazine “Republik” made accusations against Globegarden nurseries last December.
The accusation of systematic falsification of the occupancy lists is off the table after the city’s focus verification. However, the specifications on the number of places, the care code and the deployment of personnel were not met at all Globegarden GmbH locations, as announced by the social department of the city of Zurich.
Lists were not systematically forged. But there is room for improvement at Globegarden.
The municipal nursery inspector checked all Globegarden facilities between March and June without notice. In doing so, he checked the number of children, their age, staff usage, attendance rosters, and work hours. The nursery supervisor made 37 such visits. Never before has the supervisor examined a nursery operator so closely.
Globegarden finally looks relieved
From the point of view of the Globegarden nursery operator, the report shows that the serious allegations were unfounded. When asked, spokesman Markus Spillmann told SRF: “We are relieved. Once again, an independent body confirmed that the allegations are unfounded. “
The report shows that the allegations against us are baseless.
Spillmann does not deny that there were too few supervisors on site in individual cases. On the one hand, he explains it with the fact that the city has controlled more precisely than ever. And this exactly in the Corona period. “If there was no deviation from the specifications, the well-being of the child was at risk.” In one case, for example, an intern arrived home a quarter of an hour early so she would not have to travel during peak hours.
