The corona virus became a nightmare for Christina Ricci (40). Not because she got sick, but because the actress was forced to lock herself up with her abusive husband. In a request for injunctive relief against James Heerdegen, the “Sleepy Hollow” actress now says she fears for her life and that of her son Freddie (6).
In court files, according to the TMZ people portal, Ricci describes how his ordeal in marriage began in the fall of 2019: “While we were sitting in the car, James made it clear to me that he could kill me. He said he would only feel sorry for me if they broke me into small pieces. After that I hid all the knives at home. “According to Ricci, the physical abuse began in December 2019:” He hit me, spit on me and growled like a pig in my face. I had bruises and bruises and decided to separate from him. Ricci informed her husband that she wanted a divorce. But then the crown’s lockdown began in March and she was locked up in the same house as her “brutal torturer.”
Cuts and bruises
According to her request, Heerdegen attacked her twice in June. He chased her roaring through the house and prevented her from dialing 911. Then he grabbed her wrists, dragged her out into the garden and threw her over a fireplace. It is said that he suffered cuts and bruises. In a second attack, Heerdegen is said to have spat at him, throwing a cup of coffee and a chair at him, in front of his son.
Ricci attached photos to his court application showing injuries to his wrists, fingers and forearms said to have been caused by his military sword. This convinced the judge to accept the request. Heerdegen is no longer allowed to have contact with his ex-wife and son and must remain at least 100 meters from the family villa.
“He threatened to ruin my reputation.”
The court has yet to rule on Ricci’s second request. The actress fears an act of revenge from her husband, whom she married in 2013. According to Christina, Heerdegen has private audio and video recordings of her with which he could “humiliate and expose her” by posting: “He threatened to ruin my reputation with that”. She demands that Heerdegen give her all the recordings.
Heerdegen’s attorney, Larry Bakman, says his client is preparing his own court order against Ricci: “In it, we will detail Ricci’s abusive behavior when he was under alcohol or other substances. My client vehemently denies all of his allegations of physical abuse. “(Klm)
