On February 1, the first of 125 apartments in the Hornbach urban development will be ready for occupancy. On Tuesday afternoon, councilors Daniel Leupi (Greens) and André Odermatt (SP) explained how the tenant selection process works. Because one thing is clear: demand will far exceed supply.
Before the call for tenders began, 1,500 interested parties contacted the city. Because the prices of the new apartments in Seefeld, so close to the lake, are unrivaled. A typical 4.5-room apartment with an area between 95 and 107 square meters costs between 1580 and 1739 gross francs. About a third of the apartments are subsidized and even cheaper.
