The great carnival parade of death has begun. Only Kriens is currently defying the trend. In other places we are still weighing. And in many places the government is waiting for a decision.
On Wednesday the Lozärner Fasnachtskomitee (LFK) decided not to hold the two big carnival parades in the city of Lucerne in 2021. The decision sends a signal. The 2021 carnival parade in the Littau district of Lucerne has also been canceled. René Baumann, media spokesman for the Littauer Mättli guild, announced it on request. The carnival in the popular “Gruebe-Meile” after the Littau parade will also not take place. With an average of around 25,000 spectators, the Littau parade is one of the largest in the region.
In order to be able to hold some of the other carnival events in the Littau and Reussbühl districts (children’s carnival, guild dance, Ruopigen-Guggete, visits to institutions) on a smaller scale, the Mättli guild wants to form a working group and start to plan, says Baumann. : “Of course, this fully takes into account the specified crown protection measures and the protection concepts of the federal government, the canton and the city.” But the Littauer Mättli-Zunft will definitely produce its traditional carnival newspaper “Schlössligeischt”. There will be no separate carnival badge produced in 2021.
All Ämmer Fasnacht events canceled
Also in Emmen the Emmer Fasnachtskomitee (EFK), as organizer of the Ämmer Fasnacht, canceled its events. “With around 23,000 visitors, the SFAO feels obliged to assume its responsibility to protect all the carnival people in Emmen and the people of Emmen and thus cancel all upcoming events,” the committee announced.
But there will be an Emmer carnival plaque in 2021. SFAO President Stephan Kilcher said: “It will be printed in a limited edition. With the sale, we hope to support Ämmer Fasnacht 2021 in solidarity. The SFAO can imagine supporting the Emmer Fasnacht clubs with a share of the proceeds. ”The badge is also produced with the collector in mind.
Transfer to Kriens takes place
A resounding yes, however, is enough Kriens. The Galli Guild announces: “The movement will take place.” The final decision on the form of implementation will be made in November at the latest. Gallivater Samuele Donatelli: “The decision that there will not only be a Gallivater in 2021, but also a plaque of the Kriens Carnival in 2021, seems important to us.” The Gallivater election takes place on the occasion of the 98th Zunftbot on October 18.
For many carnival enthusiasts, the uncertainty is great these days, not only among the wagon builders, but also among the individual OKs of the carnival groups. When asked, many listened: “Actually, we expect a clear no from the government.” But this has not yet been commented on Carnival 2021.
In Meggen Says frog guild president Pascal Feucht when considering: “But if there are no moves in the city, then the Megger wagon builders won’t build either, and that would leave a huge gap when moving. The big question is whether the move will still take place. ”This question has yet to be answered at Meggen.
It has also not been decided yet whether the children will move to Rothenburg It will take place in 2021. “Time pressure is not that great here,” says Thomas Oberle, president of the Rothenburg Ameisi Guild. The corresponding discussions are currently taking place.
The situation is still uncertain in HochdorfAs Guildmaster Michael Baumeler says on demand: “We’re still waiting, we haven’t decided yet.”
Maintenance is also carried out in Malters. There, the movement is organized by the Motteri Council. The issue is on the agenda for the next meeting next Thursday, nothing has been decided yet, according to the moving motter Daniel Schnyder. The carnival will not be completely canceled. It will take place in Güdismäntig in some form.
The governing council must stand up and make a decision.
In Willisau It has yet to be decided, as can be heard from the carnivore guild. A highlight of the Willisauer Fasnacht is the saying in the Willisauer pubs in Güdismontag. Most likely, this will be done with the necessary protection concept. How it will look with the city carnival and the other carnival activities is still open.
In Sursee the Heini von Uri guild is still mulling over the decision. Guildmaster Peter Wyder said last week:
“I would like the Lucerne governing council to be there and make a decision on Carnival in the city and in the countryside. That would solve a lot of problems. ”
This wish has not yet been fulfilled. According to Wyder, the guild council believes it is unrealistic to hold a carnival. “With this proposal the council will go to the general assembly,” Wyder explains. The decision will then be made at Martinibot in mid-November.
And in Horw Carrying out the play is no longer a toss-up game. “The movement is not taking place,” says Egli Guildmaster Cornel Buholzer. Whether and how the other activities of the carnival will take place has not yet been decided in the individual committees. That will be the case soon, Buholzer said.
On September 23 it will be decided whether the carnival in Ebikon is carried out. The Guild Council of the Red Sea Hussars also determines on this date whether a guild master will be chosen in 2021. As the Red Sea Guild also reports, it is aware that isolated events that are not coordinated with the decisions of the Strongholds of the surrounding carnival are “both risky and lacking in solidarity.”
