They often wanted to look away instead of looking. Joko Winterscheidt (42) and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (37) had donuts injected into their foreheads or had their mouths sewn up on their television show. Everything for their program “El Duelo por el Mundo”, in which they push outstanding participants to the limit. But the latest contribution was simply too disgusting for diehard fans of the show.
Moderator Micky Beisenherz (43) traveled to Latvia for “Team Klaas”. Along the way he had to eat countless hot chili peppers. “I felt very bad. Everything burned me, ”Beisenherz said.
But that is not all. They took him to a theater. There he was shown a contribution by the Latvian artist Arthur Berzinsh. And the recordings weren’t for the faint of heart.

The chunk was fried, served with a chili, and then eaten by the man. “It is the performing art that shows our modern society and our consumer behavior,” the artist said of the clip. Visibly surprised, Beisenherz called it “a form of cannibalism.”
But that is not all. It was easy to forget that it was a contest. That only became clear again when Micky Beisenherz got his job. To get the point for his team, he had to endure the same procedure, and understandably refused. Heufer-Umlauf was visibly annoyed by his colleague’s shocking idea. “That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen or heard,” he said. Winterscheidt admitted that he had gone too far with his idea. “Maybe the horses got away a bit.”
On Twitter, the post hit the viewer in the stomach. It was “tacky”, “disgusting” and “sick”. They even asked for the show to be canceled.
At the end of the show, Joko received a “dishonorable medal” for her idea, but that didn’t make up for the audience. They even demanded that the show be canceled. The fact that Klaas Heufer-Umlauf won in the end was practically lost due to the shocking contribution. (paf)
