Canada tightens gun law after bloody act with 22 deaths

About two weeks after the worst bloody event in Canada’s history, the American country has tightened its gun laws. 1,500 models of rapid weapons are now banned, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (48) said on Friday. “These weapons are designed for one purpose only: to kill as many people as quickly as possible,” said Trudeau. “There is no use and no place for such weapons in Canada.”

The government currently estimates that there are around 100,000 of those weapons in the possession of Canadians. You should have two years to safely remove them, even with a buyback program.
