Former Federal Councilor Christoph Blocher (79) is fighting for the subsequent payment of his Federal Council pension of 2.7 million francs. But he and his family don’t have to go wrong. His daughter, SVP National Councilor Magdalena Martullo-Blocher (51), led Ems-Chemie well through the crisis. Since the beginning of the year, the value of the company has risen by 30 percent to 19.5 billion francs, as calculated by the “Sunday newspaper.”
The crisis did not bring more sales to Martullo-Blocher, the largest shareholder in Ems. However, he managed to win profitable business: orders for corona test tubes, analysis devices, protective goggles, masks and respiratory devices, as well as disinfection bottles.

In addition to the increase in value of CHF 3 billion, a dividend of CHF 20 per share will be added this year, corresponding to another CHF 320 million in revenue. Martullo-Blocher’s sister, Läckerli-Huus boss Miriam Baumann-Blocher (45), who owns about 10.1 percent of the company, can also expect the dividend. Christoph Blocher has only been a small shareholder since his election to the Federal Council.
Blocher’s other company, pharmaceutical supplier Dottikon SE, is also doing well. Dottikon benefits from supplies for the preliminary stages of corona drugs. The value of the stake of Blocher’s son Markus (49) increased by 425 million francs. (gnc)
