An activist from the “Black Lives Matter” movement has been hanging from a rope on the 16th floor of the Trump Tower in Chicago since Sunday night at 5:15 pm local time. In a live Facebook video, the man asked President Trump to speak with him. He has a knife in his hand and threatens: “If Mr. Trump does not speak to me, I will cut the rope.”
His message: “Hello everyone, I am a member of Black Lives Matter and I want to speak with Trump before the election. I don’t want to die, but if anyone tries to pull this rope, I’ll jump! “
He went on to say: “If Trump makes a promise, he should do it before the election. I’m here in Chicago, one of the most liberal cities in the world, and I really respect the people who live here. “

A short time later, police and fire units arrived at the building. Police officers from the Chicago Police Department attempted to bring the man back to his senses from a terrace at the top. At first they tried to throw the man by the rope, but due to repeated threats to cut the rope and jump, they let him fall.
Shortly before 6 p.m., more police officers and a Chicago Police SWAT team arrived at Trump Tower. A police negotiator was also at the scene, US media reported. Similar case in 2016
A man climbed the Trump Tower as early as 2016, but in New York City. Unlike the Chicago man, the young man used suction cups four years ago to climb the glass facade. The then 20-year-old also requested an audience with the President of the United States.
