American actor Chadwick Boseman, who became known as the star of “Black Panther,” has passed away. The 43-year-old man died of cancer, his family said Friday “with immeasurable sadness” on Twitter and Instagram.
Consequently, the black actor has suffered from colon cancer since 2016. He died at home with his family. Boseman’s team confirmed the actor’s death for the film magazine “Variety.”
In “Black Panther” (2018) Boseman played the king’s son, T’Challa. It was the first superhero movie with almost exclusively black actors in front of and behind the camera. He has also appeared in movies such as Avengers: Infinity War, 21 Bridges, and most recently directed by Spike Lee in Da 5 Bloods.
