Berne High Court ruling: “Rickli-Rap” was slander

The case has occupied the judiciary for years. Four rappers and a rapper from Bern posted a song about Natalie Rickli online in 2014. Today’s Zurich government councilor was covered in profanity and expressions of sexual content. Among other things, it was said that Rickli owed his political success to sexual favors.

In 2019, the Federal Supreme Court concluded that the Berne High Court acquittal of the sexual harassment charge was correct. The musicians would never have tried to send the song directly to Rickli. On the other hand, the higher court should re-examine whether a conviction for defamation rather than defamation is an option.
