The Red-Green-Center camp around the SP, Green Alliance and Green Free List (including JA and Juso youth parties) is still as strong as four years ago. It has 43 seats in the 80-member city parliament.
On the other hand, far-left opposition parties may win: the Alternative Left has one additional seat, the PDA and the Green Alternative Party each hold one. This means that the radical left grows one seat.
The center-right camp around SVP, FDP and Jungfreisinn is losing a lot in the city parliament. The camp had 18 seats so far, but now there are only 15. Jungfreisinn made a new seat.
The parties in the middle around CVP, BDP, GLP and EVP are increasing in the city hall. Until now these parties had 15 seats, now there are 17. The increase is possible thanks to the green liberals.
