Basel-Stadt has voted: These are the results of the elections to the governing council and the grand council in the summary – Basel-Stadt – Basel – resp

The Basel-Stadt Greens and the strong Basel alternative (enough!) Won three additional seats in the Grand Council election on Sunday. The Green Alliance is now represented with 17 seats in the cantonal parliament, as shown by the first provisional results of the State Chancellery. This result should at least give the party some consolation for the poor performance of Elisabeth Ackermann in the election for the cantonal government, which took place on the same day.

The Liberal Greens (GLP) are also among the winners on Election Sunday. They are doubling their seats from four to eight. The benefits of the Green Alliance appear to have been at the expense of the Social Democrats. The SP loses four seats, so it would now be represented with 30 seats in the cantonal parliament. SVP and FDP also lose three seats each and now have 12 and seven seats respectively. LDP (14) and CVP (7) can oppose their seats on the Grand Council. (sda)

The turnout in the Grand Council elections was 43.5%.

The LPG also gains one more seat than was reported in the provisional results and the SVP loses one more seat.
