Joe Biden signed 17 presidential orders in a first act of office in the Oval Office. With some of them he is reversing the first decisions of Trump. Here is an overview:
Mask requirement nationwide
With his first executive order, Biden asks all American citizens to wear masks and keep their distance for the next 100 days. You can only enforce this in regards to federal law. In other words, in all federally owned buildings, which include all post offices in the country. Or in national air and rail traffic.

The United States rejoins the World Health Organization
Trump removed the United States from the WHO because he accused it of not doing enough about the virus. Now America is back. And Anthony Fauci, America’s leading disease fighter, has been appointed head of the WHO delegation to the United States by Biden.

Creation of the Corona Response Coordinator position
In the hands of the yet-to-be-named coordinator, all the strands of US crown policy will come together. From the vaccination campaign to the testing program.

Tenant Protection Program Expansion
Tenants were protected from evictions until at least March 31, if they could no longer pay their apartment rent as a result of the Corona crisis. In addition, the federal government must guarantee outstanding payments on real estate loans.

Former students do not have to start over before the end of September to pay their student loan installments that come from federal programs.

Re-entry to the Paris Climate Agreement
Trump’s exit from the agreement took effect shortly after the November election. The United States will now be readmitted to the deal within 30 days.

Biden wants to focus more on renewable energy rather than fossil fuels. He has ordered all federal agencies to roll back internal Trump-era regulations that go against environmental interests. And a controversial pipeline project was also stopped.

Trump had ended the program for minors and illegal immigrants to the country. In certain circumstances, it grants these people a work permit and therefore access to health insurance.
