The Corona marathon should take a while. But if you believe the resigned Mr Corona, Stefan Kuster, we are currently at least in a ‘regeneration phase’.
The numbers are constantly increasing, but at least slowly. Last week, the federal government registered around 2,900 new corona cases, just slightly more than the previous week. What is surprising is that around 70 percent of new infections can be found in the cantons of Vaud, Bern, Zurich and Geneva. After all, the number of new infections has declined slightly recently in the troubled Canton of Vaud.
“Just do it!”
The Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) fears that the contagion curve could rise further in colder temperatures. Because the virus spreads more easily indoors than outdoors. Furthermore, according to the BAG, discipline among the population has decreased. Therefore, the office has adapted its awareness campaign to comply with the crown’s rules just in time for early fall.
With the motto “Do it!” The population should be encouraged to comply with all four measures: tracing, testing, quarantine, and isolation. While the previous campaign under the slogan “This is how we protect ourselves” strongly appealed to individual responsibility, the administration now apparently relies on the blind obedience of citizens with “Just do it”.
A steep step for all the Corona skeptics who took to the streets in recent weeks against the progressive introduction of a “Corona dictatorship.”
New campaign on Tinder
Recently, the federal government has also been on the terms of its citizens. This is probably due to the fact that the campaign is aimed especially at young people.
He has a higher than average number of contacts and moves into one of the great hot spots, nightlife. In Lausanne, around 2,500 students from the hotel management school had to be quarantined this week because they had held several parties without a mask.
To collect the boys, the BAG will be present with its campaign from Monday not only on billboards and on the radio, but also on social networks. The Tinder dating platform is also new. Slogans like “Does your crush and your favorite club have in common? They want your number” are meant to remind singles to leave their contact details in clubs and bars.
