It’s been almost a year since it is clear that Pascal Strupler (61) is leaving the BAG. It is now also clear where the outgoing BAG director is headed: back to Valais.
Strupler becomes the new chairman of the board of directors of Wallis Hospital. The hospital network includes clinics in Sion, Sierre, Brig, Visp, Monthey, Martigny and St. Maurice.
Upper Valais will take office in March 2021, as announced by the Valais government on Wednesday. He replaces Dominique Arlettaz, who has presided over the Board of Directors since 2015.
Resignation at the end of September
Strupler leaves BAG amid Corona crisis. However, when he announced his resignation a year ago, he said that he would like to pursue new projects. At the beginning of October he handed over the scepter in the STOCK MARKET to Anne Lévy (48).
Before the attorney became director of the BAG, he had held various positions as a federal civil servant since 1985. Between 1998 and 2003 he was personal assistant to Federal Counsel Pascal Couchepin. Strupler then served as general secretary of the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) until the end of 2009.
