Former Swiss sprinter Stefan Burkart died at the age of 62 after a serious illness, according to various media reports. Burkart participated in 2 Olympic Games (1992, 1996), one World Championship and 3 European Championships and held national records of more than 100 (10.32) and 60m (6.61).
