The Basel children’s lawyer arrested a 17-year-old who allegedly inflicted stab wounds on a 25-year-old at Unteren Rheinweg on Saturday.
The detainee is a Moroccan, as the Basel prosecutor announced on Tuesday.

A 25-year-old man was injured in the clash on the banks of the Rhine at 10pm on Saturday night. He had to be admitted to the emergency room with stab wounds and cuts.
Passersby found the wounded man screaming. According to eyewitnesses, there had previously been an argument between two men under the Johanniter Bridge.
