The Aargau canton police emergency call center received several noise complaints shortly after 11pm on Wednesday. There was talk of a sports car accelerating sharply in Erlinsbach. Aargau canton police patrols and Aarau city police searched for the car.
A patrol saw him later that night and followed him. Police watched the Lamborghini speed up several times in a noisy town. It also considerably exceeded the maximum speed allowed. The patrol stopped the car a little later.
At the wheel of the 640-hp car was a new 18-year-old driver, accompanied by a 19-year-old in the passenger seat. The young German from the canton of Glarus said that he and his friends had rented the car for a few hours to drive.
The police of the canton of Aargau denounced the young man for serious traffic offenses and took away his driver’s license as evidence. He also insured the car for further investigation. Because there was also a suspicion of drug influence, the prosecutor ordered a blood and urine sample.
