Next week, the Federal Council wants to propose the next initial steps. Gastronomy in particular expects this, the industry expects at least a partial opening from March 22.
But now the haunting question arises: Can the easing schedule be met? Because corona infections are on the rise again, albeit only slightly.
3.6 percent increase
As the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) writes in its latest weekly report, the number of infections has risen 3.6 percent in the last week. At the national level, the authorities registered 83.7 infections per 100,000 inhabitants between February 22 and 28. In the previous week, the figure was 80.8.
It’s the first increase since the third week of December, and it doesn’t even include the effect of store reopening.
