On Saturday, the operator of the Diexer café in Elsau ZH announced that it would reopen for guests on Monday. “We have been obedient for 3 months and have waited in vain for a relaxation from the Federal Council,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
In fact, the owner reopened on Monday. As reported by “Tele Top”, around 20 people gathered at the restaurant and thus violated the applicable Corona rules. Therefore, the Zurich canton police had to withdraw and broke up the meeting, the operator was informed.
But that apparently didn’t impress the innkeeper. He opened his cafe again on Tuesday. In the late afternoon, the Zurich canton police had to deploy again. Once again, around 20 people were at the scene. “On behalf of the health department, we forced the bar to close today,” says media spokesman Stefan Oberlin.
“We consciously take this risk”
During the police operation, the agents also checked the personal data of the guests. According to Oberlin, everything went well. The owner has proven to be cooperative. The cafe will be closed until further notice, says Oberlin.
On Tuesday night, the restaurant operator reported via Facebook and confirmed the forced closure. “We consciously take this risk, but we will not let it pass,” they say. Y: You will be in touch again in due course.
Held without masks
Time and again some innkeepers object to restaurant closings and open anyway. It wasn’t until Saturday that around 90 crown skeptics celebrated at the Älpli restaurant in Gommiswald SG, no masks, no distance.
It was shown to the organizer and the landlady of the restaurant. The community even threatened revocation of the patent. (support)
