Only in early November had Dall taken on the role of old rock star Richie Sky on the ARD series “Rote Rosen.” In Lüneburg, where the soap opera is being filmed, he suffered a stroke with cerebral hemorrhage on November 11, and did not recover.
Despite the use of all the intensive technological and medical measures, today he fell asleep peacefully without having regained consciousness beforehand. He leaves behind his wife, daughter and granddaughter, ”the family wrote. “He was not only a popular comedian and entertainer, but most of all, an exceptionally lovable and personable person.”

As a stupid bard and king of jokes, Dall moderated TV talk shows, hit the charts with hits like “This Record Is A Hit” and “Millions of Women Love Me” and stood in front of the camera as an actor in various comedies. With formats such as “Dall-As” (1985-1991 on RTL) and “Jux und Dallerei” (1992-1994) on Sat.1, the host also had his own television shows.
The career of East Frisian, who lives in Hamburg, began in 1967 with the humorous anarchist group Insterburg & Co (“I loved a girl”). More recently, he was occasionally featured in such television series as “Notruf Hafenkante” and “Grossstadtrevier”. Dall said goodbye to touring in 2017 after 50 years. But he did not want to withdraw, as he announced.
