After the party “Chlööpf dii wäg !!!” last Saturday in Friltschen, all guests must be quarantined. Four people have tested positive for corona infection since the celebration. Now the organizers take a stand.
300 people celebrated in Friltschen last Saturday. Three days after the party “Chlööpf dii wäg !!!” bad news came. A guest became infected with the coronavirus, so the organizers of the “Plöööree team” informed their guests by means of a short message and asked them to monitor their health.
When three other guests tested positive for Covid-19 in the following days, the cantonal medical service of Thurgau canton ordered all party guests to be quarantined. Marcel Neuenschwander, President of the “Plöööree Team”, says:
“A party is, of course, a risk. This cannot be completely eliminated, no matter how good the protective measures are.”
They were aware of this fact. We are also convinced that our visitors were also aware of this, reinforced by our measures ”.
Canton attests to a strong protection concept
The information service of the canton of Thurgau confirms the existence of a concept of protection for the party, even certifying it as solid. He didn’t need permission. “Events of this size do not require approval. Also, the concept of protection does not require approval, ”says Director Markus Zahnd.
“Clarifications are currently being made as to whether the protection concept was actually implemented on the site.”
In any case, the contact details of all the guests were fully available. “They were registered and verified on site at the entrance by a security service commissioned by the organizers.”
Clean every hour
The organizers took a whole series of protective measures at the party in a large agricultural hall near Friltschen: distance markings in the entrance area, disinfectants in various places on the site and the names of all the guests for follow-up. “Surfaces were also disinfected hourly, empty drink bottles were regularly removed, and BAG’s rules of conduct and other information to raise awareness among guests were posted in the entrance area and the rest of the event venue.” writes Marcel Neuenschwander.
“We have implemented and even supplemented all the officially prescribed measures.”
There is currently no mask requirement for such events in Thurgau. “So it’s also about the personal responsibility of each individual.”
After the quarantine order, he came into contact with some guests. “You reacted relatively calmly to that. Some also reported that they were aware of the risk and had bad luck from time to time. “
Sorry for the inconvenience
The guests remembered the party very well. “Of course there is now a negative ending.” But guests have noted that they have put in a lot of effort as organizers, writes Neuenschwander.
At this point we do not want to stop apologizing in all its forms for the inconvenience caused.
In July, the newly founded association “Plöööree-Team” organized a first party “Chlööpf dii wäg !!!” elsewhere, also with a concept of protection. At the time, organizers were happy to announce 14 days after the event that there was no corona infection.
