The perpetrators were between 175 and 180 cm tall and had a red bag with a white Swiss cross. The two wore black clothing inspired by the intervention unit and marked “Police.”
They also wore black helmets, ski masks, and combat boots, and each was armed with a pistol.
There were no injuries. The perpetrators, who spoke poor German, fled with cash for a previously unknown amount. The getaway car could be an older blue Skoda Octavia. The perpetrators came away with fake St. Gallen license plates, which they copied from a license plate from a St. Gallen canton police patrol car.
