Tragic accident in Vordemwald in the canton of Aargau: shortly before 3:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon, a 54-year-old driver was leaving Langenthalerstrasse with his Peugeot when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle and was struck in the opposite lane.
The Peugeot then goes off the road, first colliding with a parked car and then a wall. Then the Peugeot rolls over and then collides with an oncoming 53-year-old cyclist.

Police footage from the accident scene shows: The car finally came to a halt on its side. The roof is dented, the windows and windshield are broken and the parts are strewn all over the street.
As the motorist had his way in horror, the seriously injured cyclist had to be airlifted to hospital by helicopter.
The investigation started
The cause of the accident is not yet clear, the Aargau canton police have started the investigation. The Zofingen-Kulm prosecutor’s office opened an investigation. The driver’s license was temporarily withdrawn from the person who caused the accident. The Peugeot suffered a total loss in the accident.
