Pressure on the Federal Council is growing. In addition to the branches, the canton of Aargau is now also asking the Federal Council to move faster with the exit from the closure.
In concrete terms, the Aargau Governing Council wrote to the Federal Council. Basically, “the considerations that have led to a gradual or gradual relaxation of the measures” are understandable. It is right that the Federal Council continue to protect the health of the Swiss population as a priority and also reduce economic damage.
Everyone should be able to open
However, the cantonal government “asks” the Federal Council, once again the situation of retail trade,
Gastronomy and event management. Starting April 27, not only hair salons, massage and cosmetic studios, hardware stores, garden centers, florists, and garden centers, but all retail stores must open. Of course, by maintaining strict protection requirements for employees and customers.
Furthermore, the Aargau government wants the Federal Council to put its relaxation plans in the catering and events sectors on the table as quickly as possible. It is “essential” that these economic sectors also have a temporal perspective.
Party and business pressure
With this letter, the Aargau government supports the demands of the Aargau parties and business associations. On April 17, the CVP, FDP and SVP, together with the Aargau Chamber of Commerce and the Aargau Chamber of Commerce and Industry, sent an open letter to the Governing Council in which they had made precisely these demands.
