Two women wanted to take advantage of the sunny weather on Saturday morning and were on the A51 near Kloten ZH with their buggy. Shortly after the entry of Kloten-Nord, however, there was a serious accident.
It is shortly before 10 a.m. When the buggy skids around a curve to the right for reasons still unexplained, it rolls over and finally stops on its side at the Kloten-Süd exit.
The 27-year-old driver of the lightly clothed vehicle was moderately injured in the accident. His 24-year-old passenger was seriously injured. After first aid at the site, the two women were taken to hospitals with ambulances.
The route had to be blocked for three hours.
After the accident, more accidents occurred on the A51. The driver behind the buggy wanted to brake to be able to assist at the accident scene. There were collisions with two other cars. According to the Zurich cantonal police, two people were slightly injured.
Due to these accidents, the A51 had to be blocked for about three hours between the entrances of Kloten-Nord and Flughafen-Güter. (cat)
