A 29-year-old bounces drunk against the wall of the house and continues to drive

On Thursday night, shortly after 11 pm, a drunk driver caused a car accident on Kiesstrasse in Allschwil. This is reported by the Basel police.

According to the prior knowledge of authorities, a 29-year-old driver collided head-on with his SUV, coming from an unknown direction, into a property wall in Kiesstrasse. After the collision, the driver drove on a gravel road in the direction of Rue de Bâle. The heavily damaged vehicle stopped shortly before the intersection with Rue de Bâle.

No injuries

No person was injured in the collision. The breathalyzer test carried out on the driver returned a value of 0.79 mg / l, according to the police. He had to surrender his driver’s license and was referred to the Basel-Landschaft prosecutor.

The badly damaged car had to be loaded and transported by a towing company. Basel-Landschaft police are looking for witnesses to clarify the exact course of the accident.
