In Vernier, near Geneva, a man (32) is suspected of stabbing his ex-girlfriend’s partner. As Geneva police report, the alleged perpetrator stabbed the 22-year-old victim several times on Saturday. The mortally wounded man died at the scene. Emergency services were unable to resuscitate him, as authorities say.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested near the crime scene. According to the first findings of the police, he had assaulted his ex-girlfriend and his new partner. The alleged assailant and his ex-girlfriend were also injured. Both were admitted to the Geneva University Hospital.
The 32-year-old alleged attacker had to undergo emergency surgery and left the operating room on Sunday. Both injured will be questioned by the authorities as soon as their health conditions allow it, according to the Police. The criminal investigation is carried out by the criminal police under the direction of the Public Ministry.
