This day is also historic!
Because not only the 1984 San Marino Grand Prix (more here), but also the 1985 San Marino Grand Prix (more here), everyone had many curiosities on May 5. Do you miss racing at Imola?

Sebastian Vettel does not like chocolate bars. At the Chinese Grand Prix three years ago, he quickly started overtaking at the well entrance …

For a Formula 1 starting position, of course, you first need a super license. Although here in the editorial office some of my cigarettes would also be bribed: D

Magnussen ready for all measurements
My colleague Juliane Ziegengeist has gathered the latest on the security measures planned for a possible start to the season: you can read about it here. Actions like the Corona tests every other day would not be a problem for Haas driver Kevin Magnussen.
“It will not be easy and it will be a great challenge to master all this,” he told Sky Sports F1. “But I’m available for whatever it takes to get the races back on the road. Of course, we have to do everything we can to make sure it goes off safely on stage. It may not be ideal, but better than nothing. “
The Danish can now stay in shape on the go-kart track in his home country. You don’t think the unintentionally long pause will affect your performance. After all, he had to stop for a whole year, and in the end he felt no different than after a winter break.

If you pedal as much as the Mercedes driver with his new professional cycling friend, he deserves a delicious break …
2nd round of questionnaires
We want to know again so that you continue to be challenged:

a) Super license
b) Truck driving license
c) a cigarette
d) Charism
That shouldn’t be a problem for you, should it? The dissolution continues …
Any sign on the Red Bull titles?
Max Verstappen had to give up the return of his Grand Prix from home in Zandvoort last weekend. Chances are not bad for the Red Bull Home Grand Prix in duplicate. And Spielberg was not the worst place for the title challenger lately.
“I always like to drive there,” says Verstappen on ‘Servus TV.’ “Hopefully we have two races there at the same time. Of course, we as a team are under pressure. But I like the track. And the last two years have been good.”
Also, Red Bull has been a good time team in recent years and only went wrong in the first few races abroad. “Usually we are always a little bit faster after the summer break,” said Verstappen. “We are almost there. Of course, I hope we can take this step then. The feeling during winter testing was already good.”
The only thing we have to do without Verstappen a little more is the “Orange Army”: “Of course, I saw them everywhere. It’s always very special to see so much orange. And it would also be a shame if there were none. Fans will be more when let’s drive there. But the most important thing is that we drive again. “

McLaren’s contribution to the fight against Corona
Even more from Zak Brown: The McLaren boss takes a tour of the team’s factory. Auto parts are not screwed there, but medical equipment is being produced in cooperation with other companies.
1st round of questionnaires
Remember our Nordschleife question? Formula 1 legends like Jim Clark, Jacky Ichx and Niki Lauda once drove their cars through green hell. No Grand Prix has been held there since 1976.
If you knew, then our Formula 1 quiz will not surprise you … right? Try it here!

For the beginning of the season: try Corona every other day
Planning for the start of the Formula 1 season in early July at Spielberg is in full swing. At the top of the agenda: guarantee the health security of all participants. The keywords “biosphere” and | blank: no | href: / formula-1 / news / spielberg-christian-horner-reckons-with-draconian-security actions-20050405 | nofollow: no | sponsored: no # urlvgd “high security Grand Prix”. It is clear that only those who can try COVID-19 can travel.
More details are now known about how the start of the season could move forward with a clear conscience. Every two days, for example, there should be tests in the paddock that are carried out by authorized personnel. “We will certainly maintain this system for all European races,” explains Formula 1 Sporting Director Ross Brawn on the concept of safety.
McLaren is now digging in Hamilton?
It’s time for a dumb season again! While experts like Eddie Jordan watch Sebastian Vettel at McLaren and Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, we just found an interesting post from McLaren boss Zak Brown on our foray into Twitter. On his own, he joins the hymns of praise that Mercedes technical manager James Allison recently let go through Hamilton (more here).
“I totally agree with James Allison. [Lewis Hamilton] He is a true champion in terms of talent, dedication and courage. But the most important thing is how he does it in the race: clean, respectful, but also tough. “
Interesting statements if you want to think that McLaren might also be interested in Vettel …
1st round of questionnaires
Do you feel well informed and entertained today? Good! Because now it’s your turn! We want to hear from you:
In what year did the last Formula 1 race take place at the Nürburgring Nordschleife?
a) 1976
b) 1980
c) 1989
d) 1992
You can find the resolution later here in the ticker;)
Is there only Ferrari?
We still haven’t completely got over the fact that paddock oracle Eddie Jordan predicts a switch from Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari (more here!). The former team boss has even more in store. Compared to ‘Sport1’, he shares the concern of some experts that Formula 1 could fundamentally change after the crisis. He even suspects that in the end (almost) all the work teams will say goodbye to the main class.
Contrary to Ferrari’s renewed threat to exit (due to the budget limit dispute), Jordan still trusts the Italian horse: “They score differently. They have Formula 1 blood in their veins, so Formula 1 not up for debate Exit threats are just warning shots. “
Jordan’s future scenario: “In the future Ferrari, Red Bull and probably again McLaren-Mercedes will be the pillars of Formula 1”.

Training and simulator, training and simulator, training …
Max Verstappen doesn’t sound like his daily life in the crown is bothering him. “Normally I always like to be at home,” the Red Bull star told Servus TV. “So that’s not a problem for me. But of course I would also like to compete. I just train a lot at home and drive a lot in the simulator.”
Verstappen has not only attempted digital power testing since global house arrest. Then he could already make a name for himself on the scene. However, he is modest and believes: “In a real Formula 1 car, I am even faster. I’ve been doing it for a long time. And now that we can’t sit in the real car, it’s the only thing I can do.”
What attracted him to Sim Racing right now: “At least that way, you can still compete and move to the limit. Of course I really like doing that. But I also hope we can drive outside again.”
