Indiegames Innovations: Saturn’s Moon as a Galactic Construction Site

[ad_1]

It’s the most successful standalone game right now: More than 200,000 players rushed to the Mount & Blade 2: Banner Lord knight show from Taleworlds Entertainment in just a few days.

The game was one of the first early access offerings. In 2004, when the first part appeared to pay for beta testers, there wasn’t even a name for the funding model. Now it’s a great success story that started as a dream project for a couple of Turkish developers, and became a worldwide box office success.

But the other innovations of the past few weeks are also impressive. Have fun with the various games!

Titan Industries: Big Capitalist on Saturn’s Moon

The construction strategy game Industries of Titan is in early access and lags far behind titles like Factorio or Satisfactory in terms of reach. However, the elegant look of voxel gives hope that a sci-fi strategy game with its own character will be created here.

Work market

  1. CALORIC Anlagenbau GmbH, Graefelfing
  2. BayernInvest Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, Munich

The scenario: Players begin as an industrial captain on Saturn’s moon Titan, which has just been opened by interplanetary corporations. It’s quite a capitalist predator to the point: minerals want to be mined, artifacts salvaged, and infrastructure that works naturally to be built.

As mentioned, you shouldn’t expect a full game from early access start. However, what we already have to see and do makes us trust that we are working on a promising game with a lot of style, seriousness and skill.

Compared to the construction competition, a greater emphasis is placed on the military aspects. The development studio Brace Yourself Games promises a rapid expansion of what has been shown so far. The roadmap is ambitious and should soon offer major updates with extensive in-game improvements.

Industries of Titan is available in early access for Windows PCs and costs around 25 euros.
