What should the new central party be called: “The Popular Party”? “The middle”? “Central Switzerland”?
BDP President Martin Landolt went on the offensive and offered CVP President Gerhard Pfister talks for a new central party. This welcomes discussions. Possible names are already being evaluated.
What is the name of the new party? “The people’s party”? “Popular Democratic Party”? “The Conservative Party”? Or should it have “Mitte” in its name? “Middle Alliance”? “Central Switzerland”? Middle Union? “The middle”? CVP. The middle “?

The CVP evaluated these names in the basic survey that it launched in mid-February.
