Android 11 will finally address an issue that disrupts many users in their daily work. Even if it is just a small change, you are very welcome. But why only now, Google?

Android 11: small changes make life easier

Android 11 casts its shadows ahead and little by little it becomes increasingly clear what Google, as a manufacturer, intends to do with the next version of Android. The third developer preview showed no groundbreaking innovations, but something should please many Android users: if an app is removed from the list of recently opened apps, it will never go away again. Instead, it can be virtually restored; This is especially useful if an application has been mistakenly removed from the list.

With Android 11, you will no longer need to extract the launcher app. Instead, the most recently removed app can be opened again by swiping from top to bottom, in the state it was left in. This should come in handy, especially for messenger conversations.

Previously, Android simply removed “deleted” applications from memory. This only happens on Android 11 if the list of recently opened apps is closed. So there is no going back and the app should open again.

Google just implemented the feature, so it continues to prove to be quite unstable in the Android Police test. In some cases, swiping down is not enough to restore the app. Google still has work to do before the feature is really ready for mass use.

Android 11: presentation probably in September

As in previous years, Google should present its new version of Android to the public in September. First, internal pixel phones will again take advantage of the latest mobile operating system before other manufacturers do the same.

We show what the current Android 10 has to offer in the video:

The first developer preview for Android 11 was released in mid-February 2020, a second developer preview arrived on March 18, and the third and current preview was released on April 23. With Android 11, 5G support, folding screens, and “built-in updates” should improve, among other things.
