There is no audience for world champions: The United States women’s team denounced the unequal salary system compared to male colleagues, without success.

The American women’s national soccer team has ruled in federal court to file the same pay as in the men’s business. This stems from a published decision of the California court.

There are, in cross-comparison, more accusations in the room:

  • Worse travel conditions
  • Uneven training infrastructure
  • Less medical support

In this sense, there will be a new negotiation next month.

The legal fight continues

The world champions had sued their own association (USSF) in the spring of 2020 for discrimination. American players resisted their male colleagues being paid much better.

Two women hold a placard.

Legend:

Same salary for everyone

It remains a pious wish of American footballers.

The New York Times quoted a spokeswoman for the players. The latter said that the sentence would be challenged. Footballers are much more successful in the United States than the men’s national team. So far, they have won the World Cup four times, the last time last year.
