It was Ted in “Scrubs” – actor Sam Lloyd dies at 56.
American actor Sam Lloyd died at the age of 56. He died of cancer. Lloyd was best known for his role as Ted Buckland in the “Scrubs” series of hospitals.
His agent confirmed the death to “USA Today”.
He is survived by his wife Vanessa and a newborn son.
Sam Lloyd was repeatedly praised for his role as depressed and tearful Ted Buckland in the medical series “Scrubs – The Beginners”.

Bill Lawrence, producer and creator of the television series wrote on Twitter: “I spent the night watching videos of Sam.” He added: “He had the biggest heart of all of us.”
Fellow actor and “Scrubs” star Zach Braff mourns the loss of his friend.
Rest in peace with one of the funniest actors I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Sam Lloyd made me go crazy in every scene we shot together. You couldn’t have been a kinder man. I will appreciate the time we had together forever, Sammy.
