On Wednesday, the “NZZ” announced that Thabo Sefolosha is ending his career. He reported it on a South African basketball podcast. The 36-year-old doesn’t want to know anything about it.

‘I have not announced anything official. The phrase was taken out of context, “says the Swiss NBA pioneer in” Sport-Center. ”

On the podcast, Sefolosha was asked how he was doing in retirement. “It is a nice change, he is happy to be back home with the family. The decision had matured over a long period of time and was discussed with the wife, ”wrote the“ NZZ ”.

And also: “It was advisable to take a step back and do other things from then on. Being a father, doing homework, taking care of various business activities that he has accumulated over the years ”.

Sefolosha now does not want to confirm or deny the announcement of his resignation. “When I have something to announce, I will announce it,” he clarifies.

However, the fact is that Romand has not played a match at the highest level for over a year. Last year he voluntarily resigned from the season when the NBA decided to end it in a bubble in Florida. In 14 years in the NBA, Sefolosha played with the Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz and most recently with the Houston Rockets.
