Morena Díaz (28) is very happy. In an interview with SonntagsBlick, she reveals her sweet secret: “In mid-January I found out I was pregnant!” The news was a surprise. “My gynecologist said it would be very difficult for me to get pregnant. I have a very irregular cycle. “
Earlier this year, the body-positive influencer and her partner moved into a cozy three-and-a-half-bedroom apartment in Basel, and then she was incredibly tired for two weeks. “At some point I thought, ‘That can’t come from two days on the reins.’ My gut told me I had to take a pregnancy test.” At the pharmacy, however, there were only double tests. “I thought, ‘Great, if the first test comes back positive, then I can do it again to be absolutely sure,’” she explains with a laugh. The result on the test strip was clear: two lines for a positive pregnancy. “I thought I was going to pass out.” To be sure, he did the second test: positive too!
“I fell in love immediately”
Morena Díaz, who is expecting her baby in late summer, is doing very well physically. “I have had no nausea or other complaints so far.” She has no unusual food cravings. “I liked pickles even before I got pregnant.” Only coffee doesn’t taste so good anymore.
She had her first ultrasound appointment on her 28th birthday. “The baby looked like a frog. When I saw the little creature there for the first time and heard the heartbeat, I immediately fell in love. “
The best thing about your pregnancy is that it gives you incredible strength. “It took a lot of the load off my feet.” Because: Next month, the court hearing with the alleged rapist of Díaz expires. About a year ago, she went public with her story, gave the first interview to SonntagsBlick about the incident, and has been campaigning ever since to toughen the criminal sexual law.
Before her pregnancy, she trembled with every letter from a lawyer. “It’s over.” Díaz doesn’t want to pass negative thoughts on to his son. “I take it all a lot more calmly.” A year ago, she said that she did not want her life to be ruined by this incident and, despite everything, she was open to a new love and a family. “For me, everything turned out different than I expected, in a positive way!” He did not expect to fall in love again so soon. “He was actually in a phase of self-discovery.”
Finding names as the crux of the matter
Díaz wants the delivery to arrive in peace. “I think a water birth would be good,” she says. Morena Díaz and her partner, who already has a young daughter, still do not know if their baby will be a girl or a boy. She does not care about the gender of her child. “But since the beginning of the pregnancy I have had the feeling that it will be a girl. Because I feel an incredible amount of girl power. “
It’s not just curious, there’s another reason you want to know if you’re right ASAP: the name search. This is the hardest part of pregnancy for the couple right now. “We really disagree,” explains Díaz with a laugh.
And what’s next for the young family? Diaz smiles and says: “Now we are looking for a new apartment and this time bigger.”
