Good news: On Friday, March 26, 2021, we will start selling graphics cards in stock. You can find out which series it is and how the sale will proceed here.
As our editor Kevin announced a few weeks ago, graphics cards are currently at a premium. We have graphics cards in stock that we will be releasing for sale soon. There are only a few hundred parts, which unfortunately cannot meet all the demand.
What, how, where?
Specifically, we are talking about cards from the following series: RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, RTX 3090, Radeon RX 6800 / RX 6800 XT.
The go-ahead for sales will be Friday, March 26, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. Then I switch to the popular Nvidia GeForce graphics cards live and start with the high-end model RTX 3090. We will offer the other series next week. I update this article after each sales window with the necessary information for the next window.
“One card per customer and series” continues to apply and the sale ends as soon as the available quantity has been sold. We need a few days between receiving the order and shipping the graphics cards to manually check the orders received. We will cancel any double or multiple orders without comment and therefore we want to ensure that we only serve the “real” gaming community whenever possible and that no miners or resellers are used.
Frequently asked questions about the sale of graphics cards, Friday, March 26, 2021
I know there is a lot of text, but read the FAQ to avoid potential misunderstandings.
What graphics cards are offered?
The following series will be at the beginning:
– RTX 3060 Ti
– RTX 3070
– RTX 3090
– Radeon RX 6800
– Radeon RX 6800 XT
– Radeon RX 5700 XT
– GTX 16 series
Who can order a graphics card?
Natural persons residing in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. One copy of the respective series can be explicitly purchased per person and residence.
Where can I find the available cards?
You can find the graphics cards in the topic “PC components” under the product type “Graphics card”. But it is better if you come here to my marketing page then you will be able to see which one is available.
Can I order multiple cards?
No. One card per customer and series. Multiple and double orders, as well as reseller orders, will be canceled without comment. However, it would be possible to order an RTX 3070 and an RTX 3090 at the same time.
Why are graphics cards limited to one piece per customer and series?
For reasons of fairness to all of our clients, we limit the maximum number of pieces per person.
Can I lift the graphics card?
No. The collection in our stores is not possible, these cards are only sent.
When will my graphics card be shipped?
We need several days to clear all multiple and double orders. Therefore, graphics cards will only be shipped a few days after your order. You can view the status of your current order at https://www.digitec.ch/de/Order.
In what order are the orders delivered?
We operate on the principle of “first come, first served”. It will be delivered once the order is received.
How many cards are available to buy in total?
We have approximately 1,500 graphics cards available from stock.
Why don’t you have an RTX 3080?
The RTX 3080 is barely available and there are still some customers who have been waiting for it since its launch. That is why we offer the popular cards to our waiting customers without leaving any residue.
When is the lot sold out?
Quantities per model are limited. If the counter has expired, the available quantity runs out. If the run on individual models is too large, the counter may no longer keep up.
Why not raffle off the graphics card purchase locations?
We responded to requests from the community and dared to test the Radeon RX 6900 XT with a giveaway at the place of purchase. However, after our experience with this complex procedure, we have decided not to do it again for the time being.
My personal statement
I know this all too well: hardware releases in the PC components area are resinous. A few months ago no one would have thought that it could take more than five months or more. In addition to the scarce availability around the world, prices also increased enormously. The situation is annoying and difficult for everyone. I’m also waiting with my PC parts on the table for the long-awaited Radeon RX 6800 XT. For better or for worse, Winter 20 PC will become Summer 21 PC. Experience from past releases has shown that unfortunately we cannot please everyone and that we are not happy with the current situation. We know the situation will not improve anytime soon and we look forward to some more difficult months in the PC components area. When availability will improve you are currently in the stars. We too made some mistakes and we take a lot with us for the future. I really appreciate the feedback from the community and look forward to better times.
