- Zug beats Geneva 2-1 in the National League thanks to Abdelkader and is the regular season winner.
- The SCL Tigers are defeated by Lausanne 2-0 and can no longer reach the pre-playoffs.
- Lugano wins the ZSC Lions 3-2 and climbs from sixth to third place.
Zug 2-1 Geneva
The EV Zug is now mathematically determined as the winner of the rating. The Swiss central beat Geneva with a tough 2-1 at home. Justin Abdelkader made the difference with two power play goals in the middle third. The shooting statistics show how efficiently the Zugers acted: it was 38:15 for Geneva. In the final phase, the guests gave up the opportunity to force overtime excessively.
SCL Tigers – Lausanne 0: 2
For the SCL Tigers, the season will soon be over. Emmental lost their last mathematical chance in the pre-playoffs with a 2-0 draw against Lausanne. The winning goal was scored by Cody Almond shortly before the second siren. Denis Malgin closed the bag with his 18th goal of the season, an Empty-Netter (59th). For Lausanne it was the fifth victory in a row. Goalkeeper Tobias Stephan needed 26 saves for his shutout in season three.
ZSC Lions – Lugano 2: 3
After their sixth consecutive victory (5 of them on the road), HC Lugano suddenly found themselves in third place. Reto Suri, Mark Arcobello and Giovanni Morini scored in the 3-2 victory. After Sven Andrighetto’s remarkable connecting goal (53rd), the ZSC Lions tried to equalize in the final 125 seconds with 6v5 outfield players, to no avail. The Zurich team drops to 4th place in the table.
