Thirty years ago no one in Switzerland paid attention to Muslims. They were very few. But then there was more. At the turn of the millennium they were more than 200,000, fifteen years later they were 350,000.

With them, who came first from the Balkans and Turkey, and then from the Maghreb countries, not only kebabs and water pipes were established in Switzerland. In the context of geopolitical events, politics was also increasingly critical of Islam. In 2009, critics of Islam made the breakthrough with the minaret initiative. The yes to the ban on covering was a minor surprise. Critical positions with Islam have now become socially acceptable.
