Switzerland is tired of the blockade. And the vaccination campaign is terribly slow. Only 9.4 doses of vaccine have been administered for every 100 residents of this country.
More vaccines are urgently needed. But while the European Union and the World Health Organization (WHO) have already approved the AstraZeneca vaccine and are inoculating it, the approval process in Switzerland is still pending. Switzerland has ordered 5.3 million doses of vaccines from the British-Swedish manufacturer, and the company has assured that it will be able to “deliver them quickly.”
The AstraZeneca vaccine has a real public acceptance problem.
