Spring discount in Russia: The Moscow government has halved the sale price of Corona Sputnik V vaccine to 866 rubles (the equivalent of 9.60 euros). The active ingredient, which consists of two components, is on the essential drug list, so the price must be controlled by the state, the government said.
Trade Minister Denis Manturov said: “The price reduction was made possible thanks to the development and optimization of industrial production of the vaccine.” Also, with the start of mass vaccination in Russia, production volumes have increased significantly. 36 countries trust Russians
The vaccine was the first in the world to be approved for widespread use in the population, although major testing has yet to be done. Russia also sells its vaccine abroad.
