After weeks of restrictions due to the coronavirus, people in German-speaking Switzerland yearn to be able to meet friends and family again without worry. According to a survey, eating at the restaurant is not one of the first expectations mentioned.
Thirty-five percent of those surveyed said that when they relaxed, they looked forward to carefree gatherings with friends and family. Second, respondents yearn for free travel (26 percent), as the survey released Sunday by the Swiss market and opinion research institute Marketagent shows.

There is also a great expectation for cultural activities such as visiting a museum, cinema, zoo or a performance in the theater (12 percent). A visit to a restaurant was only mentioned in fourth place in the anticipation ranking (10 percent).
Shopping (4 percent), going out to the nightlife (4 percent), and sporting facilities in a gym or team sports (3 percent) were apparently less missed. Three percent of those surveyed said they didn’t expect anything special.
The representative online survey was conducted from January 7 to 16 among 755 people aged 14 to 74 in German-speaking Switzerland. (SDA)
