Wolverhampton – Arsenal 2: 1
After seven games without a defeat, Arsenal have lost another league game. At Wolverhampton Wanderers, the “Gunners” lost 1: 2 in continuous rain at the end. For the “Wolves”, after nine games without a win, they were the first three since a 2-1 win against Chelsea in mid-December.
Arsenal got off to a better start: young Bukayo Saka scored in the 9th minute, but his goal was denied by VAR because Lacazette was offside during preparation. In the 32nd minute, the guests went ahead: Nicolas Pepe refueled down the left and slid the ball into the far corner.

Shortly before the break, the decisive scene of the game: David Luiz ran over Willian José, who was walking alone towards goalkeeper Bernd Leno, in the legs from behind and put him in the penalty area. Clear thing: red card and penalty. Ruben Neves confidently converted to 1: 1.

Shortly after the restart, it was again a Portuguese, Joao Moutinho, who scored with a wonderful long-range shot to put the Wolves ahead 2-1. It turned very bitter for the “Gunners” in the 72nd minute when Leno quickly walked away from his goal and blocked a harmless ball out of the penalty area with his hand. So he had to leave the field early in red.
