After Mathilde Gremaud in the women’s category, the Swiss freeskiers at the X Games in Aspen, thanks to Andri Ragettli, also clinched gold in the men’s Big Air Contest.

Ragettli prevailed with 94.00 points ahead of the French Antoine Adelisse and the American Alex Hall.

The 22-year-old from Flims laid the foundation for victory in the first three of six attempts. His “Triple Cork 1980”, which he showed for the first time in competition, landed perfectly upside down and received 48.00 points, the highest score of the day in the field of eight participants. For Ragettli it was the fifth medal at the X-Games, the second gold after winning the slopestyle competition in Hafjell, Norway, last March.
