The Swiss road, which the Federal Council has maintained for so long, will finally end next Monday. Like many countries, Switzerland is now forced to close. For the first time in this pandemic, the Federal Council decided to drastically tighten the measures, although the slight decrease in the number of cases in recent days could even point to a relief of the situation.

But how misleading the situation is, how great the fear of the explosive spread of the much more contagious variant of the virus from Great Britain, was shown on Wednesday by the appearance of the main Federal Councilors together with the two cantonal representatives Christoph Brutschin (BS ) and Ernst Stocker (ZH). For the first time, they kept their masks on in the media center to speak, and plexiglass separation panels were placed between the participants for added protection.
