Same category as home care staff
But they would like to have this possibility sooner. During the holidays, the Aargau Teachers Association (ALV) approached the canton to demand that teachers belong to the same category as home supervisors.
“The health of teachers, children / adolescents and parents must have the highest priority,” writes the ALV on its website. Therefore, he asked the Department of Education (BKS) for teachers who wish to have a faster vaccination option. According to the BAG classification, they should belong to target group 4.
The children have already infected the teachers
“We still don’t know much about the risk of infection in schools, especially with regard to the crown mutation,” said Kathrin Scholl, president of ALV, explaining the procedure when asked. However, it is known to cause infections among children and teachers, and it has also occurred in Aargau. “There was evidence of such broadcasts before the Christmas holidays,” Scholl said.
