There were 174,124 vacancies in Switzerland at the beginning of the year. This is shown in the latest figures from data company X28. It has the best job search engine in Switzerland, which finds practically all job vacancies advertised on employers ‘and recruiters’ websites.
174,124 – that’s 13 percent less than a year ago, but slightly more than June’s absolute low. And most of all, there are as many as in the summer of 2018, and therefore significantly more than in the boom years of 2012 to 2017.
This shows: Although gross domestic product fell sharply for a short time due to the corona pandemic, Switzerland came off lightly than expected, also on the job market.
