Swiss
Gregor Deschwanden (29) had the best day from a Swiss perspective. Thanks to the 28th place after the first jump, he qualified for the final round. At 123.5 meters, it even flies a little further than the first step. Simon Ammann just missed the second round at 32nd place. Dominik Peter lands at 54th place.
The conditions
Not easy conditions in Oberstdorf, Germany. The strong tailwind is a big problem for jumpers. Even the favorites are shaking: Eisenbichler just qualified and season dominator Halvor Egner Granerud is struggling too. In the second round, the tide seems to turn. Because the wind dies down, there are really long jumps to be seen again. Like Eisenbichler’s second, for example. He’s just over a meter from the hill’s record.
That was something to talk about
Turn the Polish team around! After you were banned from the first Four Hills Tournament competition, you can now move on. The FIS will announce it on Tuesday morning. A positive corona test by Springer Klemens Muranka previously led to the exclusion of the Poles. Since two more tests are negative, the local health authorities are lifting the quarantine.
