The slopes will be free from Wednesday: the professional committee gives the green light to the Appenzell Innerrhoden ski areas
The operators of the ski areas in Inner Rhodes can wait for customers again before the end of the year. As reported by the Ratskanzlei, the protection concepts have been received, examined and approved by all operators.
(RK / mlb) “After reviewing the epidemiological situation, the professional ethics committee comes to the conclusion that the ski areas in the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden can be reopened.” This stems from a press release from the Chancellery of the Appenzell Innerrhoden Council. Operators can obtain a license from December 30, 2020. The Kronberg slide, for example, has already received one. It will be open on Wednesday starting tomorrow.
Ski area operators need them in accordance with the Federal Council resolution of December 11, 2020. In addition to the existence of an approved protection concept, the prerequisite for the granting of a permit is that the epidemiological situation in the canton and region and capacities in hospitals are available in Contact -Tracing and the tests allow it.
Protection plans submitted and approved
All the ski area operators in the canton have presented a protection concept. The concepts were reviewed and approved. The relevant number of new infections in the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden is below the Swiss average, the number of reproductions has been below 0.8 for almost a week.
The values are even higher in the region. “However,” the message continues:
“The numbers are clearly falling relative to this area as well.”
At the same time, the situation of hospital occupation in the region has calmed down a bit. This means that the requirements for obtaining permits for ski areas in the canton are met. However, the situation regarding these conditions will continue to be verified on a regular basis.
