As a board member of a pension fund, Franz Grüter received high commissions paid over the years. Now the supervisory authority has opened a procedure. The politician denies the accusations.
Things are going crazy at the PK-Aetas pension fund. The trigger is a notification that has been received by the BVG Bern and the supervisory authorities of the foundation. It demands the removal of the entire Board of Trustees. In addition, civil and criminal procedures will be examined. The announcement was signed by two members of the PK-Aetas management team. The Chairman of the Board of the Foundation is Franz Grüter, SVP Lucerne National Councilor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of TI Green.
PK-Aetas was founded in Bern in 2003. At that time, Grüter incorporated Green’s pension fund into the collective foundation. He took a seat on the Board of Trustees and received an annual fee of up to CHF 15,000. But that was not all, as you can read in the ad: Grüter negotiated a so-called brokerage agreement with PK-Aetas, as a commission for the brokerage of the company, which he himself ran. Initially, this self-placement rate was 3,000 francs per year. With the growth of the Green Group, commissions increased. In recent years it was around 15,000 francs.
